Labor Day BBQ

The place to be after Monday’s Paul Bunyan Days’ parade is the big Fort Bragg Lions Club BBQ.

Follow the enticing aroma of grilling meat to the field on Todd’s Point – the same place you watched the action-packed logging show just the day before. From 12 – 4 there will be delicious, locally raised and hand selected cuts of beef, pork and lamb served with plenty of beans, coleslaw and bread sides. Veggie Burgers will also be available.

The food hits the grill around noon and the bar opens about the same time.

That’s not all – so don’t even think about leaving just because your tummy is full and your thirst quenched. Hang around and enjoy entertainment just for kids and kick-up your heals to the tunes of a live band.

See the parade floats up close and personal and cast your vote for your favorite in the “People’s Choice” competition.

Discounted BBQ tickets are available in advance –$12 for adults and $8 for kids and seniors — at Harvest Market, La Bamba, Columbi Market, Chamber of Commerce, Fort Bragg Community Credit Union and Mendocino’s Out of the World.  Tickets also available at the event — $15 for Adults, $10 Seniors and kids. For more information or to volunteer call 964-0921.
