The Belle of the Redwoods competition is nearly as old as Paul Bunyan Days itself and has become a favorite tradition of the residents of Fort Bragg! It is not a beauty contest. Contestants compete by dressing in “old fashioned” or theme appropriate dress and selling raffle tickets.
Each Belle contestant earns 10% of her ticket sales, and the top 3 Belle contestants also win cash bonuses!
The proceeds from the sale of the raffle tickets benefits the Paul Bunyan Scholarship which is awarded to a Mendocino Coast local pursuing higher education in Forestry or Logging associated fields.
