Craft Show

On your mark, get ready, shop! Or eat… or climb…

A favorite Paul Bunyan Days event is the two day Art and Crafts Fair sponsored by Soroptimist International of Fort Bragg. The fair is Saturday and Sunday, September 1st and 2nd. Fair hours are 10 – 5 on Saturday, 10 – 4 Sunday, at the CV Starr Community Center, 300 S. Lincoln. (click here for a map)

This is what’s known as artisan fair, as everything is handcrafted. Other fairs may offer items that are mass produced or made overseas, but not this one.

Last year there were more than 60 booths selling all sort of handmade items, including: jewelry, clothing, photography, art,  handbags, quilts, stained-glass, cat and pup tents, kids’ clothes and toys, ironwork, home goods,  herbal products, soaps, rugs and wood carvings.

If shopping wears you out, you can treat yourself to a massage, or stop for lunch or a treat. If you or the kids have energy to burn, then climbing the walls (literally) would be just the thing.
