Craft Fair

On your mark, get ready, shop!

A favorite Paul Bunyan Days event is the two day Art and Crafts Fair sponsored by Soroptimist International of Fort Bragg. The fair is Saturday and Sunday from 10 – 5 on Saturday and 10 – 4 Sunday, at the CV Starr Community Center, 300 S. Lincoln St, Fort Bragg.

This is what’s known as an artisan fair, as everything is handcrafted. Other fairs may offer items that are mass produced or made overseas, but not this one.

This year there will be more than 70 booths selling all sorts of handmade items, including: jewelry, clothing, art, handbags, quilted items, leather  and wooden items, plants and bulbs, stained-glass, pottery, kids’ clothes and toys, ironwork, home goods, herbal products, soaps, rugs and wood carvings. The money earned from the fair goes to support Soroptimist college scholarships for women and Project Sanctuary, which has programs to help prevent domestic violence and sexual assault in Mendocino County.
