The Friends’ of the Fort Bragg Library’s biggest fundraiser is their Labor Day Book Sale. Hundreds of people pore over thousands of books, to hopefully, make enough money to sustain activities for the coming year.
The Friends of the Library group uses the proceeds to purchase books including children’s and large type, DVDs, audio books, pay for monthly landscaping services, carpet cleaning, and a host of other services that the County no longer has the money to cover.
The sale is across the street from the library, in the historic Veterans Memorial Building on the corner of E Laurel & N Harrison. (click here for map)
Friday evening, 3 September, there is a members’ only preview sale from 7:00pm to 9:00pm. The rest of us will gather, bags in hand, Saturday, 4 September, 10:00am to 5:00pm, or Sunday, 5 September, 10:00am to 2:00pm.
