The good, the beautiful, and the ugly… The Ugly Dog Contest is not just for Ugly Dogs! Pups of all shapes, sizes, talents and appearances compete to be top dog in their own special way.
This is the original Ugly Dog Contest – a poster from 1967 proves our contest is at least 44 years old!
Anyway… more than 100 dogs will be on-hand for the annual event.
Dogs vie for 1st, 2nd & 3rd place ribbons for Smallest, Largest, Prettiest (big and small), Best Dressed, Smartest, Best Frisbee, Owner-Look-Alike, and finally, selected from 1st place winners – Best In Show.
The event is Saturday of Labor Day Weekend, at the CV Starr Community Center, 300 S. Lincoln. This is the second year in this location – near the Fort Bragg Dog Park.

Registration starts at 2 and ends at 2:4so the show can begin promptly at 3. There’s no entry fee and the most important rule is have a good time!
