The Kiddie Parade is a free, short, fun parade that happens right after the tricycle race. Registration begins at 11:00 and the parade generally starts at 11:30.
This parade is just for kids, kids on foot, in wagons, on bikes, with animals, pretty much anything they can dream up. Entrants are grouped by age: 0-4, 5-9 and 10-12. Participants can choose to come in costume and/or build floats for the “Regards to Broadway from Paul and Babe” theme or the Kiddie Parade’s “Happy Reading with Paul and Babe” theme and come dressed as a favorite book character.
Sponsors of the Kiddie parade include Fort Bragg Library, FIRST 5 Mendocino and ReadAloud 15 minutes. Fort Bragg Cyclery, Harvest Market, the C.V. Starr Center and Gallery Bookshop and Bookwinkle’s Children’s Books are also helping.
